Specialising in fine finishing on steel and non-ferrous metals, Pferd Tools’ CC-PNER discs feature the patented COMBICLICK quick-clamping and cooling system. The compressed non-woven disc with silicon carbide (SiC) abrasive is designed for face grinding on an angle grinder or spindle, and is available in four hardness grades — W, MW, MH and H — to suit both flat surfaces and contoured edges.

Features:

The CC-PNER discs are made from compressed non-woven fabric impregnated with silicon carbide (SiC) abrasive, giving them a structure that is both strong and flexible. This flexibility allows the disc to be shaped to fit the contours of the workpiece, whilst maintaining high strength at the edges. The fine grit size produces a uniform and very fine surface finish, sufficient in some cases to prepare the workpiece for mirror polishing.

The COMBICLICK system combines a special backing plate with a secure attachment at the rear of the tool. The unique geometry of the cooling slots generates a high air flow, which reduces thermal stress on both the abrasive and the workpiece. The disc can be changed without tools and without the fixing point overheating. The clamping elements sit flush with the work surface, preventing unwanted scratches and improving the abrasive’s utilisation rate.

The three hardness grades — W (soft), MW (medium-soft) and MH (medium-hard) — are colour-coded. The tool is designed for use on variable-speed angle grinders, either corded or cordless, with the COMBICLICK backing pad (ordered separately).
